boys and their toys

AN ODE TO 'PA'
the obsession started when he was only a few weeks old.....

Blake ALWAYS wants to go for rides on pa's tractor (two of his most favorite things!)

and would CRY when he had to get off

it didn't matter if they were even mowing the lawn, he was perfectly content to just SIT on it

pa has been teaching him how to drive and turn

but as blake gets older (and bigger) it's getting harder for BOTH of them to sit on the tractor
so pa thought it was time for him to have his own!

this was blake's birthday present this year!

he couldn't be happier, he LOVES it
and now they can mow the lawn together!

Its kinda funny to have the tractor as a growth chart, but you can really see how big he's getting with those pictures. Has he taken his brother for a ride yet in his new tractor?

that last picture is the cutest I have ever seen you need to send it to a magazine or something!! Love his tractor what a lucky kid. Carson gets upset, I have tried riding on the lawn mower with him I am not sure if it's the noise or what but he wasn't having it. Good idea to start them young:)

Suzanne!! I just realized last minute that maybe you didn't get an invite to Gloria's baby blessing. I'd love it if you could make it, but realize it's last minute. E-mail me go.darts@gmail.com and I'll E-mail you back all the info. Or just call but I'm with family visiting from Utah so I might not answer but E-mail me anyway cuz I'd love to get your E-mail address and cell #. Love, Alicia

That is so cute! There is nothing as sweet as pictures of children bonding with their grandparents. What a special present and so much fun!

Wow, I think that takes the cake in the most responses on a blog. Like I said in my last (book) comment, your whole (growing) family is one to be proud of. Carruth's, and all I have seen and heard of the Holman famlies both come from long line of loving, caring, taking the time and sometimes pick up, dust off and try again rare groups. Thanks Suzanne and Jonathan for bringing them both togeather.
Oh...yeah, and good job Mike and Julie for a great gift and the gift of time you always give. You guys need a blog of your own, but I guess you really have one here too. love you, Jen

This is a wonderful blog - great pictures, and fun to see Grandpa Mike and Blake having such a good time. We watch our neighbor's two boys and their John Deer front loaders and wagons, and can picture Blake having such a good time!
